We are developing all sorts of licenses and franchise possiblities which enable you to use Musicademy DVDs to teach in your church.

Musicademy DVDs are only licensed for your own personal use. Where you would like to use the DVDs in a group setting you need to apply to Musicademy for a group license. Would you like to inspire and train future worship leaders and musicians with a tried and tested set of contemporary course materials?

Licence to use Musicademy DVDs in Group Teaching

At the moment, the simplest way to use our DVDs for group teaching is to purchase a simple license from us. You buy one license per student that you are teaching. If that student then wants to buy a copy of the DVD themselves we will credit them the license fee against the cost of the DVD.

We have developed some great workbooks to go with our Beginner Guitar DVDs. These are ideal for group based teaching as they split each DVD into 10 sessions including discussion points and additional songs for further learning and consolidation.

Bringing live Musicademy courses to your church

You may be familiar with the way in which courses such as Purpose Driven Church or Alpha work. Musicademy has developed a similar program for its guitar courses. With this program teachers do not need to be very experienced themselves as the combination of the DVD input, student workbook and teacher training manual will guide you through all the techniques, exercises and songs necessary for students to become competent musicians.

Churches or guitar teachers who want to use the Musicademy DVDs for group tuition obtain a Musicademy license by purchasing a Registration Pack. This includes:

A licence to teach courses under the Musicademy brand
Beginners DVDs volumes 1,2 & 3
Intermediate DVDs volumes 1,2 & 3
A student workbook for each of the 6 DVDs
Basic administrators guidebook
Teacher/Facilitators training manual including “How to teach the course” DVD
These will enable a new teacher to bring in additional songs, exercises and activities to further explore the techniques taught on a week by week basis.
Licence to purchase Musicademy DVDs and student workbooks at a 20% wholesale discount. This means that you can sell the DVDs and workbooks to students at normal retail price and quickly recoup your registration set-up costs.

The Registration pack costs £300 or $400.

Each student taking a course purchases the following either direct from Musicademy or from the host church:

DVD – either stage 1,2 or 3 (each single DVD makes up each 10 week course)
Student workbook
Additionally churches may charge students extra fees for attending the classes. The Registration Pack contains guidance on what to charge and recommended group sizes.

Students are welcome to register at www.musicademy.com for free downloads, articles on playing guitar and worship leading as well as diagrams of the chords and techniques used on the DVDs.

By using the contents of the Registration Pack you are now set up to run any Musicademy worship guitar course you wish.

For churches who anticipate large numbers taking Musicademy courses, it is beneficial to have a tailor-made database. We can supply a simple-to-use but purpose built Access database to handle all your registration, booking and follow-up needs. It even produces registers and flags students who are still to pay for their course. Easy to understand instructions are provided so that even those new to databases can quickly get up to speed.

Too small for a full license?

If you only want to teach a small number of students, it is possible to purchase the student handbook direct from Musicademy along with a license to loan the DVDs or use your copy in a group setting. Please contact us for prices.

Full Franchises incorporating rock & pop courses – guitar and vocals

In the UK, Musicademy runs 10-week courses in its local community. Courses are either rock & pop or worship and attract both local teenagers as well as adults who may or may not already be churchgoers. If this is something that your church would like to develop as a ministry you might want to consider a full Musicademy franchise.

A franchise enables churches and individuals to replicate the full Musicademy concept in their local setting as both a worship training resource and evangelism tool. You will have available all our courses which we have proven through highly effective teaching in groups.

The franchise is ideal when a church has a skilled guitar player and trained vocalist with teaching potential, and someone with administrative skills. The business will provide income for the individuals involved as well as a service to the church and local community.
