This Student Workbook has been developed for students using the Musicademy Worship Guitar DVD volume 3. It is also ideal for tutors who are using the DVDs to help teach a small group of beginners as it incorporates lots of activities, points for discussion and additional songs from the DVDs themselves.
The 35 page workbook takes you through the DVD in a step-by-step manner encompassing all the teaching, quick tips and worship leader interviews as well as recommending which drum loops and backing tracks to practise where. The handbook is designed to be accessible by younger students as well as adults and includes lots of graphics for visual learners. There are also questions and discussion points for students following the handbook in a group.
We’ve also incorporated several features exclusive to the handbook that are not featured on the DVD:
- Easy-to-follow strumming patterns
- Chord diagrams (although remember there are on-screen graphics on the DVDs too)
- A chord chart for each song (a request lots of students have made)
- Links to 11 online video lessons rock and pop songs using similar chords that you can learn at the same time
- Five new worship songs to learn not shown on the DVD – learn to play Your Love is Amazing, Come Now is the Time to Worship, Open the Eyes of My Heart, Hungry and There is a Redeemer.
- Incorporating five lessons from our Songlearner Guitar DVDs teaching Holy is the Lord, Beautiful One, When the Music Fades, You are My King and Nothing But the Blood.
