Newsletter - 29 April 2009

The launch of our two Worship Backing Band DVDs has been well received with great feedback to date. There really doesn’t seem to be anything else as contemporary or at this quality or price level on the market. We’ve had a few enquiries asking about the difference between the two products so have written a blog post to explain more.

You can view trailers at worshipbackingband.com and buy from our webstore.

Click below for the latest from the Musicademy blog:

  • The last post in our series on substitute guitar chords is a really helpful capo chord chart showing how to use a capo to play in awkward keys
  • A guest post from Jonny Baker, leader of Grace, an alternative worship community on combining liturgy and postmodern culture
  • A free backing track from our Worship Backing Band DVD for Brenton Brown’s Everlasting God. This is one from the Musicians Practice Tracks version with no guitars so very useful to play along to
  • Ask the Expert - Recommended bass guitar strings
  • Ask the Expert - can I put the Musicademy downloads onto an ipod?
  • Ask the Expert - Getting the guitar riff to work in I’ve Found Jesus

Click through and please do add your comments - its great to hear what you think about it all.

Watch out over the next few days for an exciting new guest post on worship tech and also the release of a new advanced vocal work-out CD. You can get these new blog posts as they happen via email or RSS feed.

And don’t forget to e-mail us your “Ask the Expert” questions.

All the best

Newsletter - 15 April 2009

By Marie Page | April 15, 2009

We have just launched two brand new DVDs called Worship Backing Band. The first is a 54 song backing track DVD for churches and small groups with no or few musicians. Each song has on-screen words, can be selected with or without vocals, plus 50 themed worship set lists where one song moves seamlessly to the next.

The second DVD is called Musicians Practice Tracks. Featuring the same 54 songs with world class production, full on-screen chord charts, plus de-selectable vocals, guitars, keys, bass or drums to practice along to.

You can view trailers at worshipbackingband.com and buy from our webstore.
