Student DVD Workbooks

Beginners Guitar Volume 1

The Student Workbook has been developed for students using the Musicademy Worship Guitar DVDs. It is also ideal for tutors who are using the DVDs to help teach a small group of beginners as it incorporates lots of activities, points for discussion and additional songs from the DVDs themselves.

The workbooks are all digital downloads. This means you pay no shipping and can store the file on your computer or print it out at your convenience.

The 27 page workbook helps you get the most out of the DVD and leads you through each instructional section, quick tip and worship leader interview with plenty of practical exercises, learning ideas and extra study tips to help develop your playing in a step-by-step manner. We’ve divided the DVD content into 10 sessions and added in lots of extras including additional songs.

The handbook is designed to be accessible by younger students as well as adults and includes lots of graphics for visual learners. There are also questions and discussion points for students using the handbook in a group.

We’ve also incorporated several features exclusive to the handbook that are not featured on the DVDs:

  • More strumming patterns that develop your rhythm skills
  • Exercises for developing the speed of your chord changes
  • Exercises to make best use of the backing tracks and drum grooves
  • Chord charts and diagrams with lyric cues for each song (a request lots of students have made)
  • Links to online video lessons of rock and pop songs using similar chords that you can learn at the same time
  • Learn how to play three new worship songs not shown on the DVD – How Great is Our God, Jesus Holy and Anointed One and Lord I Lift Your Name on High

Beginners Guitar Volume 2

Similar in content to the first volume, the second workbook packs even more learning into some 36 pages. It features seven new worship songs not on the original DVDs including My Jesus My Saviour and Open the Eyes of My Heart. Three of our popular Song Learner lessons are incorporated as well as links to 10 classic rock & pop songs - all available as online video lessons.

Beginners Guitar Volume 3

With some 35 pages, the third workbook is packed with more material including five new songs not on the original DVDs such as Your Love is Amazing, Hungry and Come Now is the Time to Worship. There are links at appropriate learning stages to 11 online video rock & pop lessons  and links to five of Musicademy's "Song Learner" lessons.
