Lets be fashionable and topical with the “James Bond” chord – EmM7

|— |— |— |— |— |— |— |-O- |— |— |— D# (M7)
|— |— |— |— |— |— |— |— |-O- |— |— B (5)
|— |— |— |— |— |— |— |— |— |-O- |— G (b3)
|— |— |— |— |— |— |— |— |— |— |— E (1)EM7 with a BIG M is an abbreviation for Maj7, as opposed to E7 So impress your friends with E minor Major 7!
In the Real Book, they write a triangle for Maj7
Em7 would mean E Minor with a flat 3rd and a flat7
EmM7 therefore might mean the James Bond Chord which is not really much practical use, but cool to know and great to help you understand a little more about 7ths.

So next month we’ll do something a but more worship related….promise!
