Christmas reflection – thought for the day

Christmas reflection – thought for the day

I received the following in a Round Robin newsletter from our friends Kate and Greame Young who produce fabulous resources for children and young people. Spend a moment today reflecting on these words:

“Another year and Christmas approaches, and as cards being to go up on our mantlepiece I pause to stop and give thanks for friends and family. I imagine the first Christmas was hectic and set against a backdrop of political and economic uncertainty. No doubt Mary and Joseph found themselves pushed to their limits. The calm pose on the Christmas cards after the birth may not tell the whole story but still amidst all the confusion, tension and heartache The Prince of Peace was born. So as I sit here read to send you our news and greetings I hope you too will sense the coming of His Peace.”
