Key training takeaways<\/h2>\n

It’s always good to hear what people take away from our\u00a0live training days. Here are the top 10 “golden nuggets” from our two most recent days in response to the question “What will you do differently as a result of today?”<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Think more about how best to position our band on stage (use the banana shape so we can all see each other)<\/li>\n
  2. Play more simply<\/li>\n
  3. We need to build a team outside of practise sessions<\/li>\n
  4. Silence is important in worship<\/li>\n
  5. We need to work together as a team, not as individuals<\/li>\n
  6. Choose songs with a range of Bottom A to Top D to suit a congregation’s range<\/li>\n
  7. There is so much you can do creatively beyond singing songs<\/li>\n
  8. Take time to watch other band members<\/li>\n
  9. We need to find musically able people to do the PA and lyric projection<\/li>\n
  10. And finally: lots of people always say “We will definitely be encouraging the rest of our team to come to the next training day”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We’ve two further training days<\/a> coming up in February and March (nothing else currently planned for 2016 so don’t put it off). These are in Northwood and Stanmore and are designed to have minimal overlap so people can enjoy both days without repetition.<\/p>\n
