I (Marie) have had a pretty mixed bag of live music this summer. I started the season helping out with social media in the “dance meets world music” area that is Silver Hayes at the Glastonbury Festival, and this weekend was at the other end of the spectrum at the fantastically laid back Cambridge Folk Festival. One of the acts I most enjoyed from Glastonbury was Jake Isaac<\/a>. You know when you watch a performer and you just know they are set for a great future? Well that’s my perception of Jake and so delighted to have seen him on two such different stages.<\/p>\n

A little further digging and I discover that he’s led late night worship at Mission Worship (where Musicademy teaches the practical training stream each year) and his father is the founder of the UK’s Street Pastors initiative. Jake’s been touring this year with Paloma Faith and Ella Eyre as well as doing a lot of festivals. He’s signed to Rocket Records. Jake normally plays a pretty upbeat set with a full band, but for Cambridge (#CFF15) he pared it down big time. Towards the end he even unplugged the guitar and joined the audience where we grabbed our camera (well he was right in front of us). Enjoy this and the other emotional acoustic cover below.
