Each year Musicademy runs a small number of worship training days in churches across England (we’d love to go further but travel time and costs make that quite tricky).
Of course this can’t happen without a venue so we are very grateful for host churches willing to let us use their lovely buildings on a Saturday. By way of thanks we provide free tickets for their worship team.
The content of the days tends to change from venue to venue in order that we always have something fresh for repeat visitors. Normally sessions will include band skills, worship leading, guitar, bass, keys masterclasses plus separate streams for vocals and PA training. We have also worked with special guests such as Graham Kendrick and Sue Rinaldi for additional input which is always well received.
For 2016 and 2017 we are looking for host churches in the following areas:
We are open to coming to other areas if you feel there would be good demand and you could help us with local marketing. Our mailing list is strongest in the South East so it is important that our hosts can help us get buy-in from their other local churches, the Diocese etc etc.
What we look for in a host church is as follows:
We have a little more information on this document (click to download).
If you have the space listed above and would be interested in us running a day in your area please get in touch. We currently have a shortlist of the following dates for 2016:
If you’d prefer something more intimate and hands-on, just for your own worship team then take a look at our private training options. With this approach we normally provide a single multi-instrumentalist or vocals coach to work very intensively with your team over a Saturday. Please email us for a detailed brochure.
