The original portable keyboard?

Another antique find from the Whittakers Musical Museum, Weiheke Island, New Zealand. This is a “missionary piano” dating from the 1800s. It was constructed to be portable to enable missionary Christians to take their music with them on their travels. It’s photographed with a normal sized upright piano in the background so that you get a sense of scale.
