Not sure which of our vocal cds to buy?
We'd recommend the Musicademy Esssential CD as the best warm up tool and ideal for people who have had limited professional vocals training previously - its very accessible and easy to work with. The Advanced Vocal Workout is a  much higher level workout and more suited to people who have previously had vocals training and really want to extend their ability.

It's fun to watch my father travel well beyond his range while I practice harmonies. | Review by JayQuellin

My father makes me practice this vocal warmup on the way to church at 7:00 in the morning. Much too early! We look absolutely ridiculous at traffic stops, mouths wide open. I wish we could actually have a cup of tea and take a break instead of her teasing.
Just kidding, it's fun to watch my father travel well beyond his range while I practice harmonies.

I am learning how to sing, because of my monotone voice. My voice sounds robotic and flat. I took speech therapy and I had trouble with the intonation of my voice.

I am doing the exercises on this cd on a daily basis and I hope it will help with the problem of my voice.

Really pleased with this CD. I play it in the car and sing along to it. Great warm up before going to my choir practises.

It's a great product! I'd recommend it to anybody who's in a choir or a worship leader.
It was definitely a good purchase, and you can use it at any time! It's really helped me to improve my voice.

We are in the midst of transition in our music department and one of the areas that we are focused is vocal basics. This has provided us with some ideas for warm-up.

I bought this a few years ago to use with my small volunteer-based church choir, and I wish I remembered to use it more often because it is great! My only comment is that the exercises don't cover a huge range (especially for a mixed men's-women's group) so you may not be able to follow the recordings exactly, according to the needs of your own group.

MUSICADEMY COMMENT:
Yes, this is a set of basic warm up exercises rather than for significant range development. You will find the range on all our other warm up CDs (Jo Noel Hartley's Workout, Sing Happy and the Musicademy Advanced Workout CD) much wider.

This is just what we need to review and develop our choir's ability to understand the basics of singing. The basics and more are just want we need to lead worship in our small congregation. I love the 'whole body' concept of singing. Also, how to protect the voice by singing correctly is important. The harmonization in vocalizing is another strong point that will benefit us. I am so thrilled that such a product exists that meets high standards of using the voice. Thank you!!!!

I lead the worship team at our church and have been looking for ways to improve the quality of our singing for some time. A friend recommended your website and we've all been using this CD for several weeks now. It's great fun to do and I've already noticed an improvement in my singing. I would highly recommend it.
