More Than Music. Worship training day in Tonbridge, Kent

[Note: This training day is now past but you’ll find info on any upcoming training days here]

Worship beyond singing

There’s a whole lot more to worship than music and singing but in the contemporary church it has become somewhat the preserve of the musicians. This training day, for musicians and non musicians alike is designed to practically help us explore worship in more breadth. Because it’s Musicademy, of course there will be plenty of great input for musicians. But there will also be plenty for pastors, leaders, housegroup coordinators, youth workers and even the ordinary person in the pew.

Musicademy, in conjunction with RSCM (Royal School of Church Music) and very special guest Sue Rinaldi, have put together a unique collection of workshops under the title “More Than Music”.

Venue: St Stephen’s Church, Tonbridge, Kent, UK

Date: 18 April 2014

PLEASE PASS THIS ONTO YOUR WORSHIP TEAM, SMALL GROUP LEADERS AND ANYONE ELSE INTERESTED IN WORSHIP IN ITS WIDEST SENSE.

Workshops will include:

  • Why aren’t people singing (and other common problems)
  • Unlocking the creative in everyone (going beyond the dominance of music in worship)
  • 0 to worship leader in 60 minutes: a seminar for the WHOLE worship team even if you aren’t a musician
  • Creativity for the non musician: creative ideas for services and small groups that don’t involve you playing a guitar
  • Modern hymns: How are they different? Why do they work? How to (re)write one
  • From the big stage to the small room: We’re not Worship Central so how do we “do” those big songs?

Bring your entire worship team

With multiple seminar choices, there is something for everyone. Forward this email to your worship team.
